THE ARTS
Throughout the nation today, Links chapters partner with museums, symphonies, arts councils, educational institutes and corporations in order to support art programs, especially where there is a focus on artists of color. Links are creating and supporting opportunities for educating minority youth in the arts and presenting and supporting performances by youth and accomplished professional artists in a diversity of disciplines.
Phoenix Chapter initiatives within the Arts Facet include:

* Youth Poster Art Competition
$10,000 Presented to The George Washington Carver Museum
The Phoenix Chapter of The Links, Inc.’s goal is to support the existing goals of the George Washington Carver Museum by:

Providing a facility that will incorporate performing arts, art instruction, museum, art gallery, cultural programs, research library and multi-purpose meeting spaces.

Offering seminars, educational programming, children, youth and family activities, special events and exhibits related to the museum and cultural centers mission, which, showcases the rich African-American heritage.

Seeking partnerships with other community organizations to promote and enhance the visibility of the Museum and Cultural Center.
